I'm an Australian, born and bred on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I grew up living in a home on the Maroochy River. I'm married to an amazing waterman and I have two ocean loving teenage boys. Our long time love of Hawaii, outrigger and standup paddle board racing led us to moving to Hawaii for 4 years from 2012.
While living on Oahu, I learnt the art of handcrafting jewellery into unique individual pieces. Inspiration from the ocean and island lifestyle. Now I absolutely love working in my home studio on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia where I can see the water, hear the ocean and smell the fresh salt air. I named my business Aussie Wahine to form the link between myself, as the Aussie, to Hawaii where Wahine means woman.
My unique collection has been hand shaped, usually soldered, forged, drilled, textured and even hammered to create a unique piece which has been inspired by the ocean and beach lifestyle. My jewellery incorporates freshwater pearls, recycled and genuine sea glass, vacated shells, gemstones and ocean themed charms.
All of my jewellery components are ethically found and sourced; no sea life is ever harmed. Some ready made pieces that I feel compliment my collection have been outsourced and specifically added to my store to widen the range for you, my valued customer.
I hope you enjoy viewing my collection and thanks for stopping by!
