Puka shells are naturally occurring bead-like objects which are found on some beaches in Hawaii.
In Hawaii, the wearing of puka shells was traditionally thought to ensure a peaceful and safe voyage, especially for sailors on a long journey, so puka shell necklaces were especially worn by those who had to travel at sea.
This cute and very beachy necklace has a horizontal bar that is approx. 1 inch long with tiny puka shells that are approx. 5 - 6mm in diameter.
Necklace available in either sterling silver or 14kt gold fill cable chain with flat oval links that can be adjusted from 16"(40cm) to 18"(45cm) long using the extension chain attached. There are two Swarovski crystals forming part of the clasp.
